€1,160 reasons to join FRAPA
FRAPA has launched its most generous new-member promotion ever — a free MIPCOM pass worth €1,160 for the first 25 people who sign up to FRAPA between now and October 8.
Or to put it another way, if you’re a small producer you can, for the sum of €500, become a FRAPA member, attend MIPCOM and save yourself €660 in the process. As FRAPA co-chair Jan Salling, head of BBC Studios Nordics, formats and production, puts it: “It’s a no-brainer. If you’re involved in any capacity in the formats industry and not already a FRAPA member, this is an opportunity not to be missed.”
Salling adds that FRAPA’s promotion has been formulated to “let down the ladder” to the next generation of format producers and creatives: “It’s tough breaking into our business at the best of times, never mind in the middle of a pandemic. In the spirit of our founding father, the late, great David Lyle, FRAPA wants to help and support young people to develop meaningful careers in the international TV business.”
If you’re reading this, you’re probably already a FRAPA member — but please feel free to share the good news with any colleagues or contacts who might be interested in joining our mission.
